Where can I sell used business telephone systems equipment? Ideally, I'd like someone to come and offer a price and then pick it all up. I don't want to go down the eBay route. This stuff isn't worth that much and I don't want to have to photograph and describe everything. Are there no other decent sites like Craiglist I can put the whole lot on as one big list of stuff?
Avoiding telephone queing systems.? Sometime ago in the news there was a guy who had found a way around the automatic telephone systems. I recall that this fellow had reported on techniques to speed the caller through the lengthy button pressing procedures and also get through all of the advertising crap that you have to put up with that is foisted on you when all you really want is to talk to someone quickly. Also, he had an extensive list of the direct telephone numbers which would not normally be available for those organisations who have seen fit to make all of their customers have to phone infuriating call centres, this being the only interface that they offer. Does anyone else recall this and do you know where I can find the information?
Id Spoofing Telephone Systems? Is it possible for someone, a Geek, to trick the Telstra (main telephone infrastructure) into showing that a call came from some number that it did not come from.
What is the difference between an IP-Pbx telephone system and a normal PBX? So i am looking for a telphone system for my small sized company. We need something that provides us one phone number but in case the line is busy another staff member can get the diverted call even though he/she is sitting in a completely seperate country. What are the differences between IP-PBX and normal PBX systems. We have roughly 14 employees so would need around that many phone lines of similar numbers. Thank you. P:s could you also link some product if u have in mind thanks.
What is a good small business telephone system? I'm researching a good (cost vs quality) small business telephone system. Have any ideas? The following features are a must: - Transfer - Intercom (between phones) - Intercom (overhead speakers) - Expandable up to at least 12 extensions (I'd like at least 15) I'd *like* the following: - Music on hold - The ability to see which phones line are being used (or see what extensions are on the phone) - Speed dial - Ability to use external flash feature to transfer to outside phones (be able to flash the CO Line) There's no requirements on ease of setup-- I'll spend 300 hours if I need to put something good in. My budget is around $1500. Any suggestions?
Office Telephone systems? I have a small business with 5 employees. Each needs their own phone, I want one number for the office with different extensions for each employee. Do I need to purchase some sort of switch for my business, or can i simply splice all the lines together and let the telephone service provider take care of the rest?
Are call centres & telephone queueing systems bad for your health? & why is it that when we phone up a company often having got their contact details from the net do they think we want to visit their website www.blah blah blah as the recorded message asks us to because for 24/7, 365 days of the year, starting from the year dot, they have been experiencing an UNUSUAL high volume of calls! Can anyone beat this?....queued for 55mins. Eventually got through. Before anything, I was 1st. asked my email address...took another 4-5 minutes before they could get it right..hadnt started the reason for my call yet.
Telephone paging systems? Hi! really need a telephone paging system. Access to the paging system is provided through a "trunk access" code. I have looked it up and I have to buy equipment to be able to do it. Can I connect my phone directly to the amplifier or speakers? P.S. I want to go the cheap and free way! NO MONEY SPENDING! Please, thank you!
What type of Telephone System, PABX can solve this issue? Points B and C are local, while A is a long distance station. I want to call from A to C. Now A and C are charged long distance. But I have a virtual hotline between A and B, which costs me nothing. At point B, I want such a telephone/pabx system, that can intake two phone lines, and one phone line, I use the A-B hotline for a free call to B, and use the other phone line to connect B to C (which will be a local call) so that effectively, my call from A to C becomes a local call also. So here is how it should go: Sitting at A, I dial B on line 1 at B. Then I dial a predefined extension and the device at B uses line 2 at B to call C, and then let A talk to C using these two lines. Any variation is also acceptable. Do such systems exist. What are they called. Where should I start looking for purchasing one.
Are there any types of telephone systems that can call multiple telephone numbers AT EXACTLY THE? I think there must be, because I've heard of warning systems that can call your house if a tornado was heading to your immediate neighborhood. So, certainly systems like this, that are designed to contact a lot of people in a community very quickly because of an emergency situation, don't just call one number, then wait for the call to end, then call another. So, I'm thinking that some new technological advancements have been invented that DO allow more than one phone number to be called at exactly the same time. I would guess that it's something really new, that's only been around for about three years or so. Am I right that this technology does exist now?
How can Chase shut down online and telephone bank access nationwide tonight? Online banking is unavailable due to system maintenance. Calling the "800" number gets a message stating that neither the automated telephone system nor the account representatives have account information either. It isn't even 11:00 p.m. in my area yet. Why couldn't they wait until 3:00 a.m.? Or perhaps they could have a backup system that would take over during these outages? Well, I guess I should have mentioned that it's "schedule system maintenance." Obviously Visa doesn't shut down their entire system nationwide.
How much will it cost to have an entirely new telephone wiring system installed at my house? My broadband speed is not up to scratch. I have decided that it is because of the extremely poor telephone wiring in my house! How much will it cost to have the entire system replaced? Including the master socket and its connection to the external/main telephone network. Please help!!! Does anybody have any ideas as to how much this would cost roughly? Any help given is much appreciated!!! I am using a wireless network. It is not my LAN that needs replacing. It is my actual phone wiring. It is a pre-1980 system and a lot of the wires are damaged and have bare wiring exposed. I definately have a problem with the wiring. Also, I have contacted my provider. The ran a speed test. I get maximum speed external to my house, but I dont seem to get this speed from within.
How should I wire a telephone system going from one point to multiple points? I have 2 lines in one room of the house that I want to distribute to 8 other jacks in the house. Would I use a 66 block for this type of wiring? I am assuming that the 8 rooms need to be connected in parallel with the main line, but I am not sure of the proper way to do this. I read something about star topology but wasn't too sure what that meant. Thanks in advance.
What model Panasonic telephone handset is compatible with a base model No. KX TG 5571CM ? There are many models of Panasonic handsets for sale on line but no model No. KX TG A 550CM. That is the handset that I currently have. I want another handset to expand my telephone system. I am wondering if any other models of handsets are compatible. Are there any In-band signaling systems still in use in all of America? I'm pretty sure everything is now out-of-band and digital but I was curious to see if there was a far remote part of America or even North America that still use the old in-band telephone system or even an ancient crossbar system. Additional, if the are no longer any in-band systems operating in America, I would be very curious to figure out when / where the last operational phone system of this nature shut down.
Telephone automated answering systems? press 1 for english press 2 for spanish press 1 if you know the extention press 2 if you do not know the extention press 3 for a list of the extentions press 1 for this press 2 for that You get the idea. Question about telephone service for a small business? I'd appreciate an answer to this or if you can direct me to any site that deals with this it would be great too. I've got a small business of about 40 people and I want to install a telephone system such that people from outside would call a single number and my machine would ask for an extension to connect them to the person they're calling. I'm thinking of using Asterisk for this, but my question is, what do I actually need to get from the phone company? 40-50 telephone lines? or is that what they call T1, T3, etc? I just want to be better informed so when the time comes to talk to the phone company I can make an informed decision. Thanks guys.
