Does the internet on your phone have an ip address?
When using the internet on your phone, can it be tracked back to a particular ip address? If not how exactly does that work? Thanks!

- Certainly, and you can find your IP address by going to a site such as http://www.whatismyip.com/ It's likely that the IP address for your phone would come from a dynamic pool, so would change from time to time, but if it were homeland security or something, they could still find out that it was your phone.
- The short answer is YES. Any device connected to the internet requires an IP address for communication. Your phone's IP address can be tracked back to your Cellular provider, but usually not to your phone number (except by your provider, if they see fit to track it).
