What is best for a small office, IP phone or multiple lines?

PBX is too expensive. I need three phone lines and four phones. I do not know anything about IP phones. I am concerned about all of the wires if we have three phone lines running to each of the four phones! Please help!

1. Having already done the IP thing for my office ..I switched back to land-line phones for one simple reason. IP phones are not always compatible with Fax machine systems. It is a hit and miss situation. Your Fax may work or may not on any given day..Not good for business Also if your computer system goes "down" you have no phone service! Not good for a business that depends on connection service to make their living. I switched back to land line for reliability
