I have a Cisco 7960 IP Phone. Can I use the port that normally goes to a normal phone as my normal phone line?

Can you use the normal phone line jack on the back of my VOiP phone as a normal phone line? I am using the ethernet line for my PBX.

  1. No, the RJ11 jack you see, labeled as "AUX" cannot be used for a regular phone. That is used for expansion modules such as the 7914, which allows for more than just the 6 line appearances. Sorry.
