Cisco Phone System

When am I being Monitored? Cisco Phone System?

When am I being monitored at work? We have a new phone system at work and I cannot figure out when I am being monitored. My phone says Cisco 7600 IP phone or something like that. I go to my task manager and I see the monitoring program running but it doesn't start to count, my monitor doesn't blink, I do not hear an echo, etc... Does anybody know how to tell if you are being monitored at work when your company is using a Cisco VOIP phone system? I do not care for the "you should just do your job stuff". If you know that answer I would appreciate it. If you just want to preach go take it somewhere else.

  1. I know how you feel...I have been monitored and monitored many times...and you always want to know when you should "turn it up" for a supervisor!! No preaching here...but you just can't tell! There is just no way.... your supervisor can just dial into your extension to listen or they probably have a program to record the calls and your computer screen. So, they can listen and watch calls later. If I am using a rep as a training example...like live monitoring in front of a class, or for a presentation...I always tell the rep ahead of time though! Sorry!!!
