What would be the benefits to America pulling companies out of China?
The Clinton administration sponsored communist china into the World Trade Organization. Since then, american companies have beaten down the communist door in the hopes of reaping the benefits of cheap labor, massive profits, etc. But at what cost? Here are some facts: 1. Communist China holds over 1/3 of our debts 2. 4.5 million jobs have left the US and have gone to communist China 3. 2.2 million new jobs were created by US companies in communist China and not in the US. 4. If you add up the loss in income, growth, taxes to support schools, investments, SS, etc, the figures are huge! 5. Communist China does not respect intellectual property rights -- theft is the name of the game over there. The loses to US companies are staggering! Cisco's entire router software was stolen by a China's company and is now being sold aboard -- this is just one example. 6. Communist China, which respect to foreign policy, is on the opposite side of almost every US position! 7. from newsweek today: By Melinda Liu Newsweek July 16, 2007 issue - Wang Hai's phone won't stop buzzing. Everyone in China seems to want urgent help from the country's No. 1 consumer-rights advocate. He helps not only ordinary buyers of defective goods but whistle-blowers who risk their lives by outing unscrupulous firms. "A good system for guaranteeing quality control simply doesn't exist in China," says Wang, who has spent more than 10 years trying to clean up the Chinese marketplace. "Even confidential informants can wind up dead, under suspicious circumstances. I personally know of two." The list goes on and on. The BENEFITS for US to move everything back to the homeland would be huge!!!! Anyone Agree ?

- I agree.
- US companies. No they benifit emensely. The US government? They should STOP borrowing money from China but the truth is China and the US will soon share currency
- America has for so long lead the world in free enterprise. China has 1.3 billion potential consumers - why would the idiot-in-chief do anything to stop that development from playing out ? It's a case of doing what one does best. Despite my COBOL coding job going offshore to Mumbai 3 times in 6 years, we still have the lead in new software technology. And as soon as I finish retraining, I'll be a part of that, earning even more than I was before.
- Agreed. However, the number of jobs created and/or moved to China would be far fewer here due to salaries and such. Still, a little of something if worth far more than a lot of nothing.
- i agree with you the benefits would be great to the people of the united states. however we dont matter anymore its all about corporate interest.
- the problem is China is treating on trade. check this video it explains it well.
- Hi Fateridder! Yes, the benefits for the U.S. would be huge, is right! Speaking of benefits, this 'joining' of our nation with theirs has enabled the White House MANY benefits, and yes, of course, this is true vice versa. As the situation currently stands, it is more than IS deserved, when considering that such a situation hurts the poor and the 'poorer' as it does and only the rich man sees these gains. There again, Fateridder, you have this insight into such huge problems, and it's refreshing to hear someone speak out and address these important issues as you do. I really admire you. Big dog profits should instead be replaced by SHARED relations that are fair and give to all people equally. That's to say, if indeed, we must share at all. Otherwise, our noses need to come out from the bushes and smell the REAL flower right before our nose! A good leader will wish to make resolve with these important issues so as to avoid hurting those who don't deserve to be hurt, REGARDLESS of financial gain or how it may be SAID that this money is used. THIS is a sign of a leader who is protecting his people. Instead, we should make good with the money we, the U.S., DO have...it's called budgeting. Do we take from a child and give to ourselves foremost while allowing their suffering? Of course not! Do we become martyrs giving to them ALL and ourselves NOTHING when there is ENOUGH to give? We would rather give to each of ourselves what there is to give so that we may flourish and grow together. If our circumstances give us NO choice, THEN we are more than willing to sacrifice our own needs for that of those we love. Our leaders have taken from the people and have stood by allowing them to endure an undue and uncalled for suffering that these VERY leaders CREATE. They then announce with the APPEARANCE of being a good leader that there's a problem and it needs addressed. This keeps the people 'hooked'. The illusion is then created that it appears the situation is far and complexed, requiring time, patience, and MORE endurance. Personally, I don't want to carry any more than I ABSOLUTELY must! What they fail to disclose is that they hold the power to DESTROY that which they have created. In secret, they ADORE their creations while holding their idols high, protecting IT foremost. In the open, it is the people who must suffer and carry the WEIGHT of those idols for them. Dollars need to stop exchanging between the hands of the rich, despite the pretty name attached to its 'cause' or so called reasoning. When domestic and economical issues suffer, human beings suffer. It is at this point of realization, that one will realize it is past time that we heal and correct them. All of humanity comes first and the soil upon which man toils and wishes to reap from beneath his OWN feet, should be made foremost richest of all. Long story, short...yes, we SHOULD take back our homeland and we should allow for our OWN betterment from within...benefiting ALL. When we ENABLE ANY country to be bad, we ourselves have become just as guilty. When we deny one, we deny ALL. Peace.
